Aubrey leads Freeman Brothers BBQ, planning the competition schedule for the season and running the timeline for each contest like a drill sergeant. Most of the year he can be found researching new BBQ tools, techniques, products, practicing frequently and using his friends and family as (willing) guinea pigs. Aubrey and wife Katie have one son and a dog.

Pete brings over 20 years of restaurant and food industry knowledge, as well as a practical eye for detail and an uncanny ability to befriend anyone. He collaborates on recipe and technique ideas, and manages any charity and donation cooking done by the team. In addition to serving as the regional GM for a successful restaurant, Pete is the proud husband to Kim, father of four pretty awesome children, and two dogs.
